Alcoholics Anonymous is a community of individuals who come together to share their experiences, strength, and hope in order to overcome a common struggle and support others in their journey to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for joining is a desire to stop drinking. There are no membership fees or dues; AA is fully self-supported through voluntary contributions. AA maintains independence from any religious, political, or institutional affiliations, and does not engage in any controversies, nor endorse or oppose external causes. Our primary mission is to stay sober and help other alcoholics achieve sobriety.
